she doesnt know she is helping.

i have this friend, well a re-friend. see i knew her is high school. we were semi-close for the first years. we drifted even more as high school friends do. i hadnt seen her since ive been at school only heard stories or tid bits from a 'how is she doing?' kind of thing.

but after a few long lonely days of the (so called) spring semester, i hurriedly walked past her, exchanging a hi and a 'how are things'. i kept going my way and she kept going hers. then i realized i was going the wrong way. i turned around found the classroom and saw her standing in front. we laughed. im blonde.

it has been a few weeks now and since then she has made my tuesday-thursday afternoons great. i look forward to my business statistics class.

we planned a trip to boston to see our favorite team play ball. we laughed about lip gloss. we have a bond over ikea. and we talk. it is nothing intense but when you are among eighteen thousand kids-no face is a familiar face and it is so relieving to see familiarity.

next semester we are getting an apartment. thats right. i could live with someone!

things are slowly coming together in my life. im not so sad and i see some (cliche coming) light at the end of the tunnel. there are a lot of things i have learned since eric and i broke up...one of them is to appreciate what you have. and so this is me appreciating someone who has made my days a little lighter. this is someone who has made planning for the future fun again.

we are even each others dates for valentines day. you are jealous, i know.
