2003-02-13 - 4:13 p.m.

i was at a stop light today and i watched this old italian guy, you know the ones, like the big jolly cartoon men on the top of a pizza box. he was waiting to cross a busy intersection. all the cars stopped and all stared in his direction, because we humans like the fact that he could possibly fall down. well the sign turned bright white and said WALK. he just stared. it then started to impatiently blink DONT WALK. he still stared. then it stopped, and said you better not cross or you are going to get hit. well at that point he decided to drop his foot off the curb and proceed to walk. i was confused. he saw the cars now trying to zip by and went back on the corner.

i took a quick right and pulled into the parking lot, because i am nosy. i wanted to see if he would do it again.

so now i am like fifteen feet away from him, and the lights turn red.

WALK. he stares. it turned blinky, and i dont know what the hell is going on. i wait for him to go, and he looked so confused. i was boiling. i didnt want this guy to miss the light again because he is stupid. so i screamed GO!

he turned and looked at me shocked, then turned around and started to cross.

i couldnt believe i bursted out like that. i dont know what i was thinking.

thats right, it the two-thousands way to help elders cross the road. put some fire under their ass, they dont need your arm, the need a good yelling.
